Radio star

OMG! OMG! I am becoming a super start while living in Bangladesh!

The other day, when it was a regular working Sunday in Bangladesh, a friend of mine, Seva, a very talented journalist working on one of the top radio stations in Russia, sent me a message asking if I was available to give a comment about biking cultures in Bangladesh and Denmark.

And I was, so I did! My almost 5 minutes of fame on the Russian radio start at 39:00 and until 43:40 (you need to choose a window with Seva on the right)

Thank you, Seva, it was lots of fun 🙂

Like I said, Seva is a very talented journalist, so make sure you listen to his programs from time to time on Echo of Moscow!

Indian restaurant Sajna

As I am not the biggest spicy food fan, the idea of going to the Indian restaurant was pretty new to me. Sajna should have been one of the two best Indian restaurants in Dhaka and we decided to give it a try.

Food was average (only one type of bread was very nice), nothing was spicy (or maybe I managed to adjust a bit in the last two months). But! Two interesting things worth mentioning. First, they had about 40 kinds of dosa

We had one of the special ones.

And look what salad they had!

Salad

Olivie salad is my favourite salad and I had many variations of it, but this with dried fruits and without any kind of meat is definitely a winner (and no, I didn’t order it)!

Russians everywhere

Guess what I found visiting one of the malls? Russian famous antivirus! in Dhaka! wow!

For KFC fans

Hello my dear KFC fans! Dhaka has something to offer to you

Btw, they have a real KFC as well. But with all these other FCs who cares??

Saratov and Bangladesh connection

Here is a funny fact.

One of my colleagues from the locals said that he knows my hometown, because the team from Saratov State University won ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest in 2006. And the reason why knows the winner is because it was the first year when the team from Bangladesh participated.

So for those who don’t know where my lovely hometown Saratov is, check out the map!
